Following the release of Jolene, Celtic Woman continue their celebration of songs by iconic female artists, with a new interpretation of Caribbean Blue.
Celtic Woman have long felt a connection with Enya’s music, having previously recorded songs such as Orinoco Flow and May it Be, which have become fan favourites over the years.
In this new arrangement Celtic Woman bring their signature vocals and musicianship to the song while staying true to the beauty and serenity of the original song.
"While preparing to produce and arrange “Caribbean Blue” for Celtic Woman, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the brilliance, beauty and extraordinary depth of the original recording. It was great fun to enter Enya’s musical world and blend her signature layers of voices with the distinctive sound of Celtic Woman. We wanted to pay homage to the original while introducing new, constantly moving orchestral lines—much as a classical composer might build variations over a repeating ground bass. What a wonderful artist Enya is."
